Ms. Rebey
Guidance Counselor A-L

Hello, I am Ms. Rebey, the guidance counselor for students with the last names A-L.  I have a Master’s Degree in Education specializing in School Counseling from Purdue University. This is my 6th year at Grimmer, and my 11th year working for the Lake Central School Corporation. In my spare time I like to spend it with my two sons who race motocross. Students and parents, if there are any school, family, or relationship concerns, please feel free to contact me in the Guidance office. I am a firm believer in positive attitudes, and I enjoy being able to make a difference in the lives of others.  My goal is to help students become successful in school by being prepared, respectful, and responsible individuals.

Mrs. Stoit
Guidance Counselor M-Z

Hi there! I’m Mrs. Stoit, school counselor for students with last names M-Z, and I’m excited to be here at Grimmer Middle School!

After graduating from Trinity Christian in College, I taught in the middle school setting for four years. I enjoyed my students so much, I wanted to learn more about helping and supporting them, so I took a break from the classroom to focus on earning my Masters in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Northwest. During that time, I worked at PNW for Enrollment Management & Student Affairs, the Counseling Department, and the Disability Access Center. I began my career in school counseling in August 2018, and it has been an honor and privilege to work with students, teachers, administrators, and families.

Each school year I love getting to know my students and helping them achieve academic goals and personal success; I believe every student deserves an advocate and listening ear. I also enjoy helping teachers and families – when we work together as a team with students as our united focus, everyone benefits!

I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to good music, reading, taking care of my plants, baking, and cleaning. Please call or email me with any questions you might have! (219-865-6995, ext. 6313 /

Mrs. Vollrath
School Service Provider

Hello! My name is Amber Vollrath.  I am the School Service Provider at Grimmer Middle School.  It is my responsibility to provide social, emotional and educational support to the students of Grimmer.  I meet with students on a regular basis to discuss grades, develop academic and organizational goals, improve social skills and to lend support in times of need.

I graduated from St. Mary’s College with a double major in Psychology and Speech Communications. In the past, I have worked as a Behavior Specialist as well as a School Service Provider for high school students.  I was also given the opportunity to substitute teach, both long and short term, at the elementary and middle school levels, as well serve on an educational team to implement cognitive and motor skills strategies to at risk kindergarteners and preschoolers.

I am looking forward to working with all of the wonderful students at Grimmer.  Please feel free to contact me with any concerns you may have about your child.
